Nursery Cook - Leeds

Nexter Nursery Cook Recruitment, is looking for enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Cooks to join our bank staff team to provide cover at various nurseries across West Yorkshire when our clients experience staff absences.

About the Role:

As a Nursery Cook with Nexter, you'll have the opportunity to work in a variety of nursery settings, gaining valuable experience in a flexible role that can fit around other commitments.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of healthy meals and snacks, adhering to nutritional guidelines and food safety regulations.
• Adapt to different kitchen environments and menus provided by the nurseries.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
• Communicate effectively with nursery staff regarding dietary requirements and any other relevant information.
• Be flexible and adaptable to work at different nursery locations as needed.

Requirements:

• Level 2 or 3 Food Safety and Hygiene certificate.
• Relevant cooking qualification.
• Cook references.
• Experience in a catering environment, ideally working with children.
• Knowledge of child nutrition and dietary requirements.
• Excellent culinary skills and the ability to prepare appealing and nutritious meals.
• Great organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A passion for providing children with healthy and enjoyable food.
• Enhanced DBS check.
• Flexibility to travel to different nursery locations within West Yorkshire.
